En segundo lugar, no es obligatoria la presencia de ambos padres cuando el pap y la mam tienen la custodia conjunta sobre el menor pero es imposible que uno de ellos acompaà ±e al nià ±o a realizar la tramitacià ³n de pasaporte. Pero para ello es necesario que el progenitor que no lo acompaà ±e complete el formulario DS-3053. Llenar todos los apartados desde el 1 al 4a, dejando en blanco los apartados 4b y 5. Adems, hay que obtener la firma de un notario y presentarlo en la oficina de solicitud de pasaporte o en el consulado. Llevar tambià ©n una fotocopia legible de un I.D. oficial del padre ausente. When elements or concrete forms of what is now known as popular culture began to emerge, the definition of high culture also became more pronounced. Such definition was apparently made in an effort to distinguish the culture promoted by the elite in society from the one embraced by those who belong to the lower classes. High culture is the label often used in referring to the works of classical literature, music, and other art forms. In fact, the theorists who uphold to this perspective call this as the ââ¬Ë realââ¬â¢ culture while naming that of the lower classes as popular culture. Now that I have a full understanding of Mr Smiths requiems, I suggest that the most suitable advertising materials for his needs would be: * Flyer the advantage of using this method of advertising is that it can be mass produced, it can be sent to a wide range of people and also hold relevant information based on the business, which includes all cooperate information such as company name, logo and colour scheme etc. A disadvantage of producing this type of advertisement is that some people will regard this flyer to be junk mail, so litter it on the street resulting in increasing environmental problems. * Brochure the advantage of using this method of advertising is that is that it puts across specific information about the product to the customer directly. Also contains more information than a flyer. However this form of advertisement is more expensive to produce. * Business Card the advantage of using this method of advertising is that is that it puts across the location and contact information of the company. Also business card are not very big so therefore can be carried by the customer and shown to others. * I will also extend my project by creating a new Logo for Turbo Centre. I am creating this new company logo; as Mr Smith feels that a new company image will be more suited for the surrounding area of his new branch. He hopes the new logo will create a fresh and positive image for the business. Quantitative Objective In order to ensure the advertising materials produced is having a positive affect on our target audience; we will produce sample advertising materials with which we can test the materials are working. We will be able to see this from the response from the amount of customers we receive, whether the materials are working or not. These measures will be made using the following: * One way in which we can test this is by placing special offers regarding products, either on the flyers, or brochure. The customer will have to bring in either the flyer, or brochure to purchase what has been advertised (the special offer). If we see that the customers are bring in the flyers, or brochure we will know that our advertising is having a positive affect. * Also we can measure the success of our advertising materials by placing the words Come in store for more details. We will know that the customer has seen the advertisement as they will enquire for more details referring to the offer advertised. * Similarly, we can advertise something Free on the brochure; in the same way we will know customers have previously seen the brochure advertisement, as they will enquire as to what the free product is which is advertised. From what the customer enquires about, we will know what form of advertisement they have seen. Then we will be able to record this data into a excel graph throughout the year, in order see when in the year the advertising materials were most affective. Also we will be able to see from the graph what form of advertising material was most successful. The following spider diagram shows the way in which a mail-merge and a logo would link together. Also from this spider diagram we can see how the special offers could be placed on a mail merge according to the car the customer has purchased. From this we could measure the success of the given advertising material. This would prove a good way of measuring the success of mail-merge, as customers could bring in there mailed letter to receive there special offer. I have created this spider diagram for Mr Smith to keep as a temperate for when he is to start a mail- merge. The next spider diagram, will illustrate the way in which the logo will link together with each type of advertising material, which is going to be produced. These advertising materials include flyer/leaflet, brochure, yellow page advert and finally a bill board poster. Other ways in which my material could be produced There are several ways in which advertising material could be produced for Turbo City. Other forms of advertising which can be used include a web site, Power point, slide show, video, sound recording, radio advertising, Television advertising, hand drawn advertisement and call centre etc. However some of these other forms of advertising have disadvantages such as: * Web site this form of advertising can only be viewed by people who have access to a computer. In the case of someone who does not have access to a computer they would no have access of viewing the web page. Also even those with access may not see the advertisement as they may not know the web page address. * Yellow Page advert The disadvantage of this form of advertising is that many competitors from the motoring industry also advertise in the yellow pages. Also advertisements which are placed in the yellow pages are limited to a yellow background, and also text must be printed in black ink, so therefore the advertisement will not appear very eye catching. * Bill Board Poster This would be a good form of advertising for Mr Smith as a Bill Board holds the main cooperate information about the business such as company name, telephone number and address. The disadvantage of this form of advertising is that it is expensive to display and maintain. * Radio advertising this form of advertising has the disadvantage that the advertisement will only be herd by the people that listen to the radio station that it is aired on. Also even the people that listen to the radio station that the advertisement is aired on could miss the advertisement as it may be played at a time were the target audience may not be listening. * Television Similarly with this form of advertisement, it will only be seen by the people viewing the channel it is aired on. Also could be missed due to the time it is aired. * Mail-Merge the advantage of this form of advertising is that it is quick and easy to produce as it follows one lay out, which can be sent to many people. A disadvantage of this form of advertising is that it can only be sent to current customers of the company. (People who have already purchased a car from the company.) However, I will not yet be creating a mail merge. As at this early stage of the business there are limited customers, so therefore a mail- merge is not required. * Advertisement printed on company car the company could also have an advertisement on one of there company cars. This form of advertising again would only be seen by people that see the car. * Hand drawn advertisement this form of advertising is not very professional, so therefore may not appeal to some customers as they may feel that the company is unprofessional. Also this form of advertising is time consuming and also will not be identical. Can only be produced to batch production (50-100 copies). In the case of advertising for Turbo Centre, printed publication would be more appropriate, as it is easier to view and a computer is not required to view the advertisement.

The Character of Claudius in Hamlet As a supporting character in Shakespeareââ¬â¢s play, Hamlet, Claudius is not developed to his full potential. His primary role in the play is to initiate Hamlet's confusion and anger, and his subsequent search for truth and life's meaning. But Claudius is certainly not a static character. While Claudiusââ¬â¢ qualities are not as thoroughly explored as Hamlet's,à the treacherous King of Denmark is a complete character. When we first see Claudius, he strikes us an intelligent and capable ruler. He gives a speech to make his court and country proud, addressing his brother's death and the potential conflict with Norway. Claudius knows that a change in government could ignite civil unrest, and he is afraid of possible unlawful allegiances and rebellion. His speech juxtaposes the people's loss with the new beginning they will have under his care, and he uses the death of Hamlet's father to create a sense of national solidarity, "the whole kingdom/To be contracted in one brow of woe" (I.ii.3-4). Claudius has assumed the role of the chief mourner, and the people can unite behind a collective suffering. He can now concentrate on his kingly duties, and he takes immediate and decisive action by sending Cornelius and Voltimand to appease the Norwegian king. He also deals sk illfully with Laertes' request to leave for France. "On the whole, then, there emerges a King who is well qualified for his office...there continually appears on the stage a man who is utterly unlike the descriptions, and this in turn gives to Hamlet's words their real value." (Lokse, Outrageous Fortune, 79). But Claudius, in private, is a very different person. The Ghost refers to him as "that incestuous, that adulterate beast" (... ... from indulging his human desires. He is not a monster; he is morally weak, content to trade his humanity and very soul for a few prized possessions. A Brief Look at the Origin of English Idioms
Idioms appear in every language and their meaning is often confusing. Because the meaning of the whole group of words taken together has little to do with the meanings of the words taken one by one. In order to understand a language, one must know what idioms in that language mean. If we want to figure out the meaning of an idiom literally, word by word, we will get befuddled as we have to know its ââ¬Å"hidden meaningâ⬠. Most of the idioms do not coincide with their direct meanings but hundreds of years ago they actually did.If we search into the origin of the idioms, we can obtain a great deal of information about that nationââ¬â¢s culture, history and even policy. Idioms come from different sources, from the Bible to horse racing, from ancient fables to modern slang. Sometimes famous authors such as Homer, Geoffrey Chaucer, or William Shakespeare made them up to add spark to their writings. Some idioms came from Native-American customs and others from African-American spe ech. Several popular idioms began as folksy sayings used in particular regions of the country and spoken in local dialects.However, the name of the first author or speaker who used particular expressions is not often obvious. Some idioms go back in time to the ancient Greeks and Romans, thousands of years ago. For instance, Achillesââ¬â¢ heel- the meaning is the weakness, fault or vulnerable spot in oneââ¬â¢s strong character. But the origin of this idiom goes back to the times when Greek poet Homer wrote his famous work ââ¬Å"Iliadâ⬠. In the ââ¬Å"Iliadâ⬠the famous story about the Trojan War Achilles was a great hero and warrior. However, he had one weak spot, the heel of one foot.When he was a baby, his mother wanted to be certain that her son could never be harmed, so he dipped little Achilles upside-down in the magical river Styx. Wherever the water touched his body, he became invulnerable. But since she was holding him by his heel, that part of him never got wet. Years later Achilles was killed in the Trojan War by the enemy who shot a poisoned arrow into his heel. Nowadays, this idiom is still used to show oneââ¬â¢s weakness. For example, I like reading historical books, but science fiction is my Achillesââ¬â¢ heel.There is also another example of the idiom which originates from the most famous poem by English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge ââ¬Å"The Rhyme of the Ancient Marinerâ⬠, written in 1798. Albatross around your neck- the meaning is a very difficult burden you canââ¬â¢t get rid of. In the poem a young sailor shoots a large seabird called albatross. In those days that was considered very lucky. A lot of bad things happen to the ship, and the crew blames the young sailor. They hang the dead bird around his neck.From that time, this idiom is used to speak about a burden or a reminder of something you did that was wrong. Wherever I go, my sister follows me. She is an albatross around my neck. We can find a lot more exa mples of idioms which have very interesting origin and give us new information of that time customs. For instance, Wear your heart on your sleeve-the meaning is to show oneââ¬â¢s emotions and feelings openly. William Shakespeare used this expression in his famous tragedy ââ¬Å"Othelloâ⬠around the year 1600. In those days, it was the custom for a young lady to tie a ribbon around the arm of her boyfriend.The boy then wore this favour on his sleeve, one of the visible parts of his clothing, to display the feelings of his heart for the entire world to see. Today, it is used not only to show love, but also another emotion too. Everyone in our office knows that Mel doesnââ¬â¢t get along with the boss, because he wears his heart on his sleeve. Another such example is, pull the wool over your eyes-the meaning is to fool, deceive, or trick someone. In 19th century Europe many men wore wigs made of wool. In British courts today, some lawyers and judges still wear them.If you pul led the wig over the personââ¬â¢s eyes, he or she couldnââ¬â¢t still see what was happening and could easily be tricked. It was said that if a clever lawyer fooled a judge, he was pulling the wool over the judgeââ¬â¢s eyes. Now, we use this expression to describe any act of cheating or trickery. Jacob was trying to pull the wool over his motherââ¬â¢s eyes by saying he was working at the library with his friends. Some idioms have originated from political actions and their origin can give us information about certain historical events. For example, Read the riot-the meaning is to severely scold or warn someone.In 1714 the British Parliament passed what was called the Riot Act. It said if twelve or more people gathered ââ¬Å"illegally, riotously, and tumultuously,â⬠a magistrate could command them to break up and leave just by reading the opening words of the Riot Act. If they didnââ¬â¢t leave within an hour, they were guilty of breaking the law and were given a s evere punishment. As the years went by, ââ¬Å"reading someone the riot actâ⬠came to mean warning a person in the strongest possible terms of severe punishment if he or she did not stop a certain activity.When students came to class unprepared, the teacher read her the riot act. Another example is Dime a dozen-the meaning is very common and inexpensive; easy to get and available anywhere. In 1786 US Congress officially named the ten-cent coin a ââ¬Å"dimeâ⬠. The dime soon became a popular coin. Millions were minted and everyone had them. Since they were so cheap and so common, the phrase ââ¬Å"a dime a dozenâ⬠became a natural way to describe any everyday thing that was easy to get and of small value.And ââ¬Å"dimeâ⬠and ââ¬Å"dozenâ⬠begin with the same letter, which makes the saying catchy through alliteration. I thought those books were rare, but they were a dime a dozen. All above mentioned examples show us that idioms teach us not only the language but also give us information about customs and traditions of a certain time. When we learn idioms, we should also take into consideration not only their meaning, but also their origin. Learning the origin of idioms will help us read and speak with new understanding.

ENZYME STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONS: Enzymes are biological catalysts. They increase the rate of reactions by a factor of between 106 to 1012 times, allowing the chemical reactions that make life possible to take place at normal temperatures Definition of enzyme: A protein with catalytic properties due to its power of specific activation is defined as an enzyme. STRUCTURE Enzymes are proteins their function depends on its complexity. The reaction takes place in a small part of the enzyme called the active site, while the rest of the protein acts as ââ¬Å"scaffoldingâ⬠.The shape and the chemical environment inside the active site permits a chemical reaction to proceed more easily Many enzymes need cofactors (or coenzymes) to work properly. Tightly bound cofactors are called prosthetic groups Cofactors that are bound and released easily are called coenzymes These can be metal ions (such as Fe2+, Mg2+, Cu2+) or organic molecules (such as haem, biotin, FAD, NAD or coenzyme A). Many of t hese are derived from dietary vitamins, which is why they are so important. The complete active enzyme with its cofactor is called a holoenzyme, while just the protein part without its cofactor is called the apoenzyme.HW DOES AN ENZYME WORK? 1) REACTION MECHANISM 2) MOLECULAR GEOMETRY REACTION MECHANISM: In any chemical reaction, a substrate (S) is converted into a product (P) In an enzyme-catalysed reaction, the substrate first binds to the active site of the enzyme to form an enzyme-substrate (ES) complex, then the substrate is converted into product whilst attached to the enzyme, and finally the product is released, thus allowing the enzyme to start all over again An example is the action of the enzyme sucrase hydrolysing sucrose into glucose and fructose.MOLECULAR GEOMETRY The substrate molecule is complementary in shape to that of the active site. It was thought that the substrate exactly fitted into the active site of the enzyme molecule like a key fitting into a lock (the now discredited ââ¬Ëlock and keyââ¬â¢ theory). This explains enzyme specificity This explains the loss of activity when enzymes denature The Induced Fit Hypothesisà : * Some proteins can change their shape (conformation) When a substrate combines with an enzyme, it induces a change in the enzymeââ¬â¢s conformation * The active site is then moulded into a precise conformation * Making the chemical environment suitable for the reaction * The bonds of the substrate are stretched to make the reaction easier (lowers activation energy) ENERGY CHANGESà : Energy needed for initial reaction is known as ACTIVATION ENERGY. The larger the activation energy is, the slower the reaction will be.This is because only a few substrate molecules will have sufficient energy to overcome the activation energy barrier. Enzymes reduce the activation energy of a reaction so that the kinetic energy of most molecules exceeds the activation energy required and so they can react. Factors affecting Enzy mes substrate concentration pH temperature enzyme concentration inhibitors SUBSTARTE CONCENTRATION The rate of an enzyme-catalysed reaction is also affected by substrate concentration.As the substrate concentration increases, the rate increases because more substrate molecules can collide with active sites, so more enzyme-substrate complexes form. At higher concentrations the enzyme molecules become saturated with substrate, and there are few free active sites, so adding more substrate doesn't make much difference The maximum rate at infinite substrate concentration is called vmax, and the substrate concentration that gives a rate of half vmax is called KM.These quantities are useful for characterising an enzyme. A good enzyme has a high vmax and a low KM. pH Enzymes have an optimum pH at which they work fastest. For most enzymes this is about pH 7-8 (normal body pH), but a few enzymes can work at extreme pH. The pH affects the charge of the amino acids at the active site, so the pr operties of the active site change and the substrate can no longer bind. TEMPERATURE: Enzymes have an optimum temperature at which they work fastest.For mammalian enzymes this is about 40à °C. Up to the optimum temperature the rate increases geometrically with temperature. Above the optimum temperature the rate decreases as more of the enzyme molecules denature. ENZYME CONCENTRATIONAs the enzyme concentration increases the rate of the reaction also increases, because there are more enzyme molecules (and so more active sites), available to catalyse the reaction therefore more enzyme-substrate complexes form INHIBITORS Inhibitors inhibit the activity of enzymes, reducing the rate of their reactions. 2 TYPES: Competitive and non competitive CO MPETITIVE: A competitive inhibitor molecule has a similar structure to the substrate molecule, and so it can fit into the active site of the enzyme. It therefore competes with the substrate for the active site, so the reaction is slower.Increasing the concentration of substrate restores the reaction rate and the inhibition is usually temporary and reversible. NON COMPETITIVE: A non-competitive inhibitor molecule is quite different in structure from the substrate and does not fit into the active site. It binds to another part of the enzyme molecule, changing the shape of the whole enzyme, including the active site, so that it can no longer bind substrate molecules. Non-competitive inhibitors therefore simply reduce the amount of active enzyme.

However, part of this project requires the website to be updated on a daily basis. The campaign sounds just like a job for the project manager but the cyclical aspect of maintaining the website seems to be a facet of an on-going operations. How was this possible? Let us outline the nature of projects and operations and, henceforth, eliminate the grey area.
